Anna Dooland
Anna is a financial counsellor with more than 17 years’ experience across community services, policy and small business financial hardship. She currently works with the Small Business Debt Helpline, supporting business owners to navigate complex financial challenges, engage with creditors and access appropriate restructuring or insolvency pathways.
Anna has also contributed to sector development and policy, including involvement in reforms to strengthen consumer protection within the credit industry. Alongside her frontline work, she is a qualified clinical and professional supervisor, supporting staff and volunteers working in high-demand community settings.
Anna brings strong governance experience, having served as Treasurer for both Financial Counselling Victoria and the Consumers’ Federation of Australia. In these roles, she was responsible for financial oversight, reporting and supporting effective governance practices.
Earlier in her career, Anna held roles in accounts receivable and financial administration, providing a practical foundation in financial management that continues to inform her work today.
Anna is passionate about supporting individuals and small business owners to regain control of their financial position, particularly during times of stress and uncertainty. She is committed to improving financial wellbeing and ensuring people have access to clear, practical and compassionate support when they need it most.
